LEGO STEM Series (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics)

After teaching, coaching and help developing LEGO syllabus for schools, the LEGO STEM series is one of the bests LEGO sets available from the LEGO Education.

Using the tried and tested LEGO 4C system, we were able to develop and roll out an in-house LEGO Syllabus for Private Schools in Kuala Lumpur. These LEGO STEM Syllabus have been used in classroom environment since 2010 and have proven to help students learn Science, Engineering and Mathematics via a hands-on approach. This is far from our current education system, where they emphasize on theory and memorization.

Students will investigate the principles of simple machines, mechanisms, and structures; experiment with balanced and unbalanced forces and friction; measure distance, time, speed, and weight; and much more, all within a structured week by week syllabus.

While many parents prefer their children to learn LEGO Robotics, they fail to see that, the LEGO STEM series is the per-requisite to learning LEGO Robotics.

LEGO Robotics consist of 2 Major Components; the first is LEGO Construction, where it includes theories and ideas taken from Mechanical Engineering including simple machines, mechanisms and structures. The second is the actual programming component of Robotics, taking ideas from Software Engineering, where students are require to learn and program their Robots (or machines) with logical programming as well as intelligence.

By having a strong understanding of LEGO Construction methods via our LEGO STEM classes, we ensure that all students are equip with good knowledge in simple machines and structures before advancing to LEGO Robotics
